Deputy Registrar of the High Court, 1893. Head Assistant Collector and Magistrate, 1895. Sub-Collector and Joint Magistrate, 1899. Postmaster-General, Bengal, 1899. Deputy Director-General of the Post Office, 1900. Postmaster-General of Madras, 1901. District and Sessions Judge, Madras, 1904. Resident, Travancore and Cochin, 1911.
